It's taken awards for best anime evar in a few magazines and is highly regarded throughout the anime-viewing world and beyond. But how would you rate it?

I gave it a 9, as I have only watched the first 2 episodes so far, it's pretty awesome so far in my opinion. Spike is a beast :drool

I have only seen a few episodes and I give it a 10. Shows is awesome. I plan to watch the entire series soon.

I didn't really like how it ended.... But I'd still give it a ten if higher options weren't available.

i think it was the episode with the harmonica playing immortal that first made me totally love this series

I'm thinking of something more old-school, tho with this crowd that seems like a ticket to no participation. The legendary animes should come first tho I think, and TTGL is too new to be legendary quite yet.

We'll all know on Monday.

Possibly the greatest anime ever created, it's about 1000x better than recent greats like TTGL and I doubt anything will ever get close to it again.

Originally a 9/10 but after watching it 3 times over the past 8 years, depreciation expense kicks in, so I voted a 8/10. Definitely a must-watch anime, and anyone who votes under 8/10 hasn't seen the full series.

I was on the verge of having manly tears rolling down my cheeks when I saw Spike stumbling out of the building and then with wobbly legs walking down the steps, making a gun with his hand...and ending it with the classic "bang!". I managed to watch that much without crying but then as soon as he fell over and Blue, one of the best soundtracks I have heard, came on - I wept like a baby!

Knockin on Heaven's Door was phenomenal too. The animation, music, fighting...

8.7 out of 10.

Like I said before,

It ain't perfect, it's got alot of flaws and it doesn't adress them. It's really inconsistent, despite priding itself on occasional consistency, and some stuff seems straight out of left field.

The show gets bogged down by some middle ground and useless filler, and it could use a uplift with certain gimmicky characters and developments.

Most of them don't so much as move an inch character wise from start to finish, and it's done.

Lupin III is really the only show I can see that it ripped off overall, not in as direct a way as you'd imagine, but I can see the foundations formed in that classic.

Can't give it a 9, sorry. But a high eight is perfect.
