Well, we finally made it guys. The first big stepping stone in the story since the ranking which was really just an introduction. This is the mission we should all be spending time on, focusing and ultimately fine tuning this bitch till we get it right.

Tyki Mikk and I discussed this as the mission where we understand the conflict between people and elementals, and ultimately were some of the less then stellar aspects of Gil's personality really get brought to light. Coincidentally, Bar is also going to have one of the biggest impacts on this mission so I've been holding my tongue and really looking forward to it.

Still here's the rundown:

This mission, is about a small battle that will be taking place closer to the Russian borders, naturally its going to be cold but the rundown is that there is a dark elemental out there who's gone rouge. Former Tekko level soldier, but extremely dangerous and nicknamed "Marionette."

He's got a unit of about 10-30 soldiers with him, all unranked to about Haidate level in skill excluding the leader. He recently kidnapped a local officials daughter, and his unit has been consistnetly robbing neighboring villages, and killing any humans they cross.

The threat is there, but in the world of Legend, this is where the Tekko levels who specialize in leadership (Our four Juniors) are given their first real battle.

Between Leon and Daniel, they'll be getting 15-20 students. Some will be named, some will be known, some will be new, some won't make it home with or without proper characterization. So keep in mind, shit gonna get srs.

I guess the big thing I want to emphasize here, is that we really need to make the plot show here, and thats why I've got a mission between purely rouges who admit there rouge nature, versus children who have yet to understand the differences. Mind games, its all about mind games.

Notable students I got shacked up for this one are:
Arela,
Ganbi,
Washi,
Rei-Mi,
Gil,
Bar,
Donavan,
Adashi Kaza... whatever.
Tafari lol,nvm
Hojo,
Sheng lol,nvm.
Fester,
Freija,
Jacquline,
A few more characters I intend to add/kill.
Daniel,
Leon.

Naturally, we've got alot of material for this one, basically two months worth of viable conversation and dialogue just missing from the time we were looking at Murder and Mountain.

I'm going to need help on the scenes, but this should take developing since its introduction in Chapter 17, to Chapter 24 or so, possibly more with all the fights, facts, conflicts, and occasional lapses back to the school.

If you've got anymore questions, specify them. I'll add more to this thread about general atmosphere, music that aids in writing, all the way down to descriptions if need be.

Sweetness man. I am stoked that we are finally here at the point we heavier shit takes place. I am willing and ready to help out as much as possible. Its slow at work so I can pitch in alot.

I look forward to seeing how these lesser known characters will get the light shown on them some.

Well, first things first, would be better to bunch characters together based on how well they mesh or create a good scene. We've got a pretty big list, and I already intended to put Bar's little crew in the next chapter talking about their mission slips.

The rest of the groups are pretty important as well, so for now think about who, what, and where you think each person is best suited to make a nice easy scene for chapters to come.

Well this sounds hella interesting.
Here's how I'd seperate the teams.
Daniel - Gil, Arela, Hojo, Tafari, Jaqy, Freija, Tafari, Adashi
Leon - Bar, Donovan, Fester, Rei-Mi, Ganbi, Washi, Sheng

I like the prospect of Tafari being brought in on a mission, especially one of such importance since his powerful could be invaluable. However keeping tabs on him would be a huge task in itself, but if anyone could pull off handling him, I'd think it'd be Daniel. Put Adashi on the team too, and you've got someone expendable that Tafari can go berserk on, lol.

I'm really looking forward to this, but we should take this slowly for now. I think stringing it along for 7 chapters or so seems like a nice pace.

Yes a nice pace would do this huge. We could have plenty of development and could come back to the school at different points for breaks and whatnot. One idea could be Abram actually attending Ms. Ameratti's class and some other little nuggets as dividers.

Abram being the only note-worthy person in Mia's class seems like a lulzy story. I doubt she thinks much of him, though her impression may change after hearing about his latest mission.

With both Freija and Hojo gone on this big mission it'd be a nice way for her to get at him alittle. She doesn't like his slacker attitude and I think would welcome this chance to attempt to teach him. The shock alone from him actually attending could be very lulz worthy.

As for this big mission I would say it'd be nice to see Ganbi and Arela on the same team as I think there could be more development between them but Leon for sure would want his Sun members to be in his team so I see him wanting Ganbi.

I could see Daniel proposing different situations to Hojo and Freija for their input as they are more the General type opposed to soldier. And seeing Bar's Crew start to really jell is going to be developed here in a big way or at least I see a good opportunity for him to finalize his new crew.

noticing how luna, tafari and grigori are behind, it would be a nice idea to show how tafari interacts with them as they are the only people who don't seem afraid of him in the school

EDIT: in view that this story is gonna take up a big part of legend, i'd separate it in 2 parts, one more dialogue-driven and other action-driven

maybe one part being the tracking and strategizing, giving us a rundown on who exactly is marionette and how he likes to act, possibly an actual identity and a conflict: the juniors all joined blackwood around the same time, maybe someone close to the juniors during their earlier years
