I am trying to figure out what the hell Cleveland has been thinking. Signing Jake Dilhole and now trading Quin for nothing. A fb and a pick in the 2011 draft and a 2012 pick.

Tousen

Holy shit I have been waiting to hear from you all fucking morning to hear your story on that shit..talk about fucking madness.

And what about the goddamn jets signing LT,

Hanzo Hasashi
03/15/2010, 08:13 AM
We sent lost LT, traded Cromartie and we haven't made a single move to sign in any free agents or trades....

our Rush and Pass defence was amongst the worse last season and we just shipped one of our best CB...

Oh wait, we signed Marcus Mason for the Skins and Strickland from the Jets.

Fucking shit so far.

Tousen

This draft should be really fucking good or really fucking horrible.. :lmao

Yeah.. We will most likely draft a RB and CB on the first round

Shit man word on the street is that the Jets might pick up Brandon Marshall from the Broncos.

Damn this year is goin to be crazy

Pluto
03/22/2010, 09:38 AM
LT, and Brandon Marshall?

Jets might be the team to beat, outside the Cowboys if they make use of that talent.

Tousen
03/22/2010, 09:48 AM
I am not very found of Sanchez so i still think they have a few more years before they are worth something to talk about.

Hanzo Hasashi

Tousen
03/22/2010, 09:54 AM
I will say that if LT ever gets his shit back together the Jets will definitely be a better team...

Pluto
03/23/2010, 12:24 AM
He's still the second best scoring RB in the history of the game. He's two seconds from just pulling a MJ at his eventual Hall of Fame speech and saying "Fuck y'all, I do what I want."

To me, LT doesn't have to prove shit to anyone, if he gets back in stride then I'll gladly support the Jets cause I like their mixup over there. Good coach, great RB, lots of personality in the QB.

But.... I want the Steel Curtain to make a comeback this year. They've had twice as much time to train, and plenty of good draft possibilities. Its time to win.

I don't think that's so dumb, but not having a qb worth a damn to fall back on definitely is dumb.
I don't think McNabb's very good, honestly, and the Redskins will suck no matter who's on their team.

Tousen
04/05/2010, 05:39 AM
He isnt a peyton manning or anything like that but he is still a good quarter back...I would say top 10 if anythig which isnt really saying much.

I cant believe they traded him to someone in their own division. Thats shocking

Not that good? The guy took them to 5 NFC championships and 1 super bowl. And 4 of those years he had no talent at WR. No, he isnt on Manning, Brees or Bradys level but he is one of the best QBs in the nfc if not one of the best in the nfl. I find it funny how a guy has one of the best winning percentages but isn't that good. If it wasn't for their defense falling apart due to injury they could've made it to a 6th nfc championship under McNab.

And trading ANY player within your division is crazy. They are asking for him to torch them 2 times a year and honestly Washington has good WRs they just have had shit coaching and now that Shannahan(sp) is there the team will be a lot better.

Harken
04/05/2010, 12:12 PM
only Tom Brady and McNabb reached 200 touchdowns without throwing over 100 interceptions first.

from wiki, lowest career interceptions by quarterback

Lowest pct. passes had intercepted career 2.09 Donovan McNabb 1999-2008

Pretty good imo

I didn't say "not that good." I said "not very good." Anyway...
Sure he's been excellent in the past, but things have started turning lackluster in recent years, and you have to know the time to have a change. I don't fault them for that, no matter the legacy, same as I didn't fault Greenbay for making a change from Favre even though he's still got some fire in him and took his team further than GB was able to get.
As far as trading within your division, sure it's easy to sit back as a fan and poopoo it, but when you're looking for the best price you can get (even tho it seems they ended up with a shitty price for him, I mean 2nd and 3rd round picks? pft), you can't exactly pick and choose who you're definitely going to sell to and who you're not. Business is business, and sometimes you have to do business with your closest competitor because that's the best option for you.
Now the fact that they don't have anybody to go to now except their backup and lolVick is laughably stupid.

Pretty good imo

You can prolly pick out a stat to make any NFL qb look like the best. They're usually so close that you gotta have something that puts you above the rest or you're just not gonna compete.
Anyway, I'm through trying to nail myself to a cross over this.

Harken
04/05/2010, 12:39 PM
Hey I like Kolb and think he will be a good QB. I am just a McNabb fan as well and think it was shitty to let him go when they did. At least they didnt send him to the Raiders though.

33 is no where near 40 which is what the situation was for Greenbay. Plus they knew they were going to part soon thus why they picked Rodgers in the first round. Kolb has an up side but McNabb is still their best option for the next few years.

And as for lackluster just in 2008 he took them to the NFC Championship game. Its not like the guy has dropped in stats, has been consistently good over the past few years.

Plan an simple they tried as they could to get St Louis, Oakland and Buffalo to send over their first round pick for him but that was truly unlikely to happen. Hell Denver was even in the discussion to trade their first round pick for him but the market wouldnt match to it. They could've gotten a 2nd and a pick to be named later from Oakland but didnt pull the trigger. Even if its business there are some you take a little less from to not have it come back in your face.

I will admit, I'm probably not giving McNabb nearly enough credit. I don't follow the Eagles, and I follow the NFL on the radio and at bars exclusively. I'll give him credit for all of those playoffs and NFC champ games. I did some research on the 2008 season just now, and it seems like they went all the way from wildcard to one of the biggest games of the year, so that deserves mucho props.

The real reason I did the research tho, I have to admit, was because I remember one year McNabb was injured through the playoffs and Mama "Chunky Soup" McNabb said that it'd be a shame if the Eagles made it very far since Don wouldn't get credit. That stuck with me, but it apparently wasn't 2008 and the Eagles probably lost right after she said that, I dunno. I just remember I heard that and it gave me a bad impression of him, and it gave me the impression that the rest of the team doesn't get enough credit for the good seasons they have.

So anyway, it doesn't seem like Philly fans want him there, so it'd have probably been best if he bowed out to another team like one or two years ago, and it sounds like he's not very sad to go now, judging from the article I read about it this morning.

Hanzo Hasashi
04/05/2010, 03:58 PM

Lol yeah juggers fans in Philly are tough. They hate ya til ya win no matter how good you do.

Pluto
04/05/2010, 09:10 PM
Most Philly fans are also retarded, I don't get how you can have one of the best QB's in the league, and bitch at him cause he hasn't won the biggest game of the year that only 2 teams get to go to out of 32, despite consistently making a play in the playoffs. I wish Seahawk or 49ers fans had the stones to say shit like that.

Hell, half of them want Andy Reid gone when he so much as doesn't make the playoffs for one season, despite it being a highly contested race. He's a great coach for Philly, but it just goes to show you, that people will always bitch about something.

And later on down the season, they'll realize how good they had it a few moments to late.

Harken
04/06/2010, 08:34 AM
The think about Cambell was that he was the average quarterback. His stats left him right in the middle of the league average in most things...if I recall correctly. The main problem with the Redskins was a bad O-line and a team that didnt think it would ever win.

Tousen
04/06/2010, 09:03 AM

Idk he really didnt to all to well last year. I do believe he was injuried so that could of been the reason but maybe its for the best.

Well its a good thing i dont look up facts..and i take it you say he had the best year last year because he brook 1000 even though in 07 he had more touchdowns.

Harken
04/12/2010, 11:28 AM
I said one of his best. He also had more receptions, more 20+ yard plays, more yards per game, more firstdowns and less fumbles. Though he had more touchdowns and more 40+ yards plays in 07.

Tousen
04/12/2010, 11:40 AM
As a fantasy owner I would definitely take 07

Harken
04/12/2010, 11:44 AM
How about as a steeler fan or coach? 300 more yards translates to 3 or more touchdowns for other players.

Wilham
04/12/2010, 12:50 PM
Wow well seeing as he is going to be serving a 4 game suspension and he is in his last year of his contract, this is not that big of a surprise although I would think they would try to get more then a 5th, atleast they didnt trade him to the Bangels or Ravens.

The Rooney's do not tolorate these kind of things and if Ben doesnt watch what situations he gets himself in he'll be shipped out too.

Tousen
04/12/2010, 12:58 PM
I dont think the steelers will get rid of ben

Wilham
04/12/2010, 01:11 PM
Rooneys do not care who you are when it comes to causing problems. If you look at their history as owners they do not tolorate it.

Tousen
04/12/2010, 01:51 PM
Yea i feel you on that but this is Big Ben we are talking about..Its like the Giants getting rid of eli (which they should)..Its just hard to see them wearing a different jersey unless they are close to the age of retiring

Pluto
04/13/2010, 07:43 AM
I don't see them getting rid of Ben, but I do see him getting a suspension.

They will, get rid of him if this happens again though. Ben's got a habit of fucking up like this, hell he did it last offseason too. The only reason I don't think they will get rid of Ben, is because they got rid of Holmes like he was an old shoe. He might have been a warning.

This is basically saying "We'll drop our best players for pennies if they are bringing down our organization." So I'm pretty sure Big Ben's days are numbered if he doesn't get his act right.

Wilham
04/13/2010, 01:25 PM
Thus why I said previously if he does it again he will be gone. I know they wont do it this season but if he continues to get himself in these types of situations he'll get the boot. Its not just what happened last off season its the past few off seasons. The bike accident where he got hurt was the beginning.

And so the AFC East gets stronger. It was announced on Mike and Mike In the Morning Radio Show that Brandon Marshall will be traded today to Miami for a 2nd round pick this year and possibly a 2nd round pick next. That just made Miami's offense a lot better.

Bens out for 4 games definitely and if the commish feels he hasn't learn he'll serve the full 6 games. I find it funny that when the schedule came out the Steelers had no nationally televised games but then games 7-9 are all night games.

So anyone going anywhere tonight for the draft?

Tousen

Wilham
04/22/2010, 07:49 AM
Sorry but I dont like how spaced out the playoffs are. Its a little ridiculous to have 2 days off in between every single game.

And the 3 days makes it better.

Harken
04/22/2010, 08:04 AM
Well its the first round so there is like three-four games every day. If you are not a basketball fan or dont have a team in the playoffs then I could understand.

But personally I find the draft dumb because for the most part none of the players will have any significant impact for at least two years. There isnt any actual action going. Also its boring...

Pluto
04/22/2010, 09:06 AM
Lol, are they actually trying to trade Big Ben? Are they fucking stupid?

I love the Steelers, looking forward to the draft. But I think Rooney needs to go back to Ireland real quick because if they get rid of Ben its over for a few years. Unless Mike Tomlin works to bring the Steel Curtain back in full force, we're looking at a franchise decline even worse then the Pats.

Pluto

I think the chick in Nevada is just trying to get some money, but Big Ben has been dirty for years. He didn't get convicted, or even charged, so there's no point in splitting hairs over it. If it was as bad as the last one, then I'd understand but its not even close.

The media is just trying to eat it up cause Tiger isn't flying out of cars at 300 km/h anymore.

If they trade big ben, they're dumb as hell. They brought in Leftwhich because he knows the Pittsburgh system, he's out as soon as Big Ben is back. Maybe next year though, if he doesn't produce.

I mean, he could have gone anywhere, he could have tried to pick up the franchise and put it on his shoulders and did his best, but he didn't. He went to a great team, I just hope they find some use for him.

I figured he'd be a per project like Vick, but its not quite like that. He's going to be competing with Brady Quin for a job, while being trained to beat Quin in likk ten minutes anyway.

Exciting 1st round with some nice trades and a couple wow picks.

I bought this morning tickets to both wk 1 and wk 3 games for here in Tampa when the Browns and Steelers come to town. I like Haden because he is a physical corner although I would have loved to see Eric Berry fall cause he is another Troy Palumalu(sp). Anyhow I am happy with the pick. I liked how the Chargers moved up to get Mathews, he is a beast. Tebow was a surprise because I thought Clausen was going there when Denver moved up but apparently they feel they need a leader which is fine but he needs to get on the field first. Looking forward to seeing how tonight plays out.

Well Carolina being able to sit back and land Clausen and Cleveland being able grab McCoy in the 3rd was pretty awesome. I see them as the winners in the QB department. Also I loved how Buffalo trolled Denver into trading up to grab Tebow. Buffalo said they never planned to draft Tebow.

I have tickets to that game. My cousins are coming down and they are huge Steeler fans so we all got tickets. I also have tickets to the opening weekend when Cleveland roles through hopefully starting the season off the way they finished last year, winning.

I am looking forward to this weekend cause it is the start of the season, albeit the preseason but still the start. I watch the NFL Network all the time.

Its embarrassing with his inability to do this fitness test when someone like Mike Golic who has been out of the NFL for 16 years and isn't nearly in shape as someone who is a current NFL star can do this test first time around.

I would have traded him day one when he was bitching and complaining about having to play in the 3-4. But seeing now that he is going to be apart of the team I let him allow his knee to heal and then its back to the fitness test. He needs to prove he is in shape before stepping on the field with the others who were there for the OTAs.

I just feel bad for Shanahan, having some bigass douche drawing in the media like flies to a piece of meat for no good reason.

So it appears Favre is finally giving up?!

Thank God, love the guy, but his retirement saga for the past 3 years have been too fucking annoying.

Nothing is set in stone, he says he'll play if he doesn't have some kind of terrible dehabilitating accident between now and September.

But I'm under the impression that he'll be playing regardless, just to get that 20th Season.

he'll probably break his hip this season

I'm hoping Brandon Tate gets some playtime this season for the Patriots.
